A Matter of Winning!
A MATTER OF WINNING" was filmed as a documentary
between 1971 and the 1973 race seasons. It was in theatres only for a few
days. It stars a real-life snowmobile racer named Gordon Shafer and
chronicles Gordon's attempt to take on and beat the well-financed factory
race teams of the time. Shafer takes on the ovals then in the
cross-country race a bad turn gets him lost and stuck in freezing
temperatures in the western woods.
The movie is 81 minutes long, and is shot in documentary
style (no narration, some 1970's music for the sound track) and the
glorious sounds of open stingers on battling two stroke motors! This
movie has something for everyone - 1971 raw oval race footage from West
Yellowstone, King's Castle and many other races. Trail riding in West
Yellowstone park and cross-country racing through the Western
scenery. All the big time brand of the era can be seen in the film,
from Polaris, Arctic Cat, Ski-Doo, Sno*Jet, Rupp and many more. The
film also features footage of all the big-time factory racers of the era,
and even has an interview with Ski-Doo legend Yvon Duhamel! 81
minutes long, color, mono sound.

SnoPro Vintage
Snowmobile Racing DVD
This is AWESOME!
1974 SnoPro Vintage Snowmobile Race Footage
In 1974, SnoPro professional
racing began. This video has clips from the Ironwood, Eagle River,
I-500, and West Yellowstone races. Featuring Charlie Lofton, Dave
Thomson, and Larry Coltom. This video is dedicated to the memory of
Charlie Lofton. For the folks looking for the Alouette Twin-Tracker
clips get this! It's about 20 minutes long.
Most videos I sell are longer, I want to be upfront with you on this
because I'm an honest seller. But remember this, it took a major
effort and a long time to re-digitize the old film to digital DVD format.
Heck, it's got the guy who did the NFL films voice as the
narrator--WOW! That's "super" and how retro is that for
1974!
Don't "2nd" guess yourself.
I try pick
and sell media that appeals and is of quality and value to the Snowmobiler.
This is a great one folks!

To Build a Memory DVD
If you grew up back in the hay days of
snowmobiling in the '60s & '70s like I did this DVD will
bring back some great memories and good laughs of the way we
used to do it! For you young ones out there on your REVs
Firecats, Fusions, and 4-Stroke Yammies--"doo"
yourself a favor and get this one for your older relatives or
friends that used to ride or still do--you'll score big
points! In the process of building and testing the early
snowmobile we discovered the beauty and wonders of winter, and
actually look forward to the coming of winter as a season of
enjoyment. This film was a way of introducing this
feeling to others that they too may also share the excitement
of conquering the once dreaded season of winter, thru the
snowmobile. It's about 30 minutes long. Most
videos I sell are longer, I want to be upfront with you on
this because I'm an honest seller. But remember this, it
took a major effort and a long time to re-digitize the
old film to digital DVD format.
